- The Ethosome Delivery System originates from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and

transdermal delivery of active pharmaceutical and cosmetics compounds.
The Ethosome Drug Delivery System was invented by Prof. Elka Touitou a worldwide
recognized expert in transdermal delivery from the School of Pharmacy at Hebrew
University of Jerusalem.
The global transdermal drug delivery market is expected to reach an estimated $21.5
billion by 2010 and $31.5 billion by 2015 (Transdermal Drug Delivery - Technologies,
Markets, and Companies, Jain PharmaBiotech, May 2005), and the Directors believe
that, due to the Ethosome’s advantages over existing transdermal drug delivery technologies,
NTT is well positioned to participate in this market.
The Ethosome is a passive and non-invasive drug delivery technology which delivers a
wide range of drugs with varying chemical properties to and past the skin, and is well
suited for a large number of applications in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetic,
nutraceutical and veterinary markets.
Ethosomes are composed from safe and approved materials for cosmetic and
pharmaceutical use and take the form of creams and gels, which have the advantage
of high levels of patient compliance.
Products using the technology are already on the market and are generating revenues.
The Ethosome technology, which has proven feasibility both scientifically and commercially,
is the subject of international patents and patent applications.
NTT’s proprietary technology offers opportunities for revenues over the short, medium
and long terms.
